Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Shane Burrell (“we,” “our,” or “I”) handles information in relation to my applications, websites, and services.

Information Collection

Mobile applications. I do not collect personal data from users of my mobile applications. They do not track location, access contacts, monitor browsing, identify you with analytics, or share data with third parties.

This website. If you submit a form, I collect the address and any name or note you type. There are two purposes, and they are not mixed unless you ask:

  • Artifact pack / book list (/book/, insights). Double opt-in. I email the worksheets and occasional notes about the book or related insights. You confirm before anything else is sent.
  • Contact form (/contact/). I store the note so I can reply. You are not put on book campaigns unless you check that box.

You can unsubscribe from list mail in every campaign footer, or use the contact form to ask me to delete a contact. I do not sell this list. Product sites (QuikPBX, Fadstack, ProtoLab) keep their own private lists and are not mixed with this book or contact list unless you opt in there.

Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the forms to stop bots. Cloudflare sees the challenge token, not your note.

Technical Information

My applications may collect non-personal, anonymous technical information that is necessary for basic functionality, such as:

  • App crash reports (without personal identifiers)
  • Basic device information (operating system version, device model)
  • General usage patterns (without personal identifiers)

This information is used solely for the purpose of improving application performance and fixing bugs.

Third-Party Services

My applications may use third-party services for basic functionality. These services operate under their own privacy policies, but I make every effort to select services that respect user privacy.

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or identify you as a person. Cloudflare receives aggregate traffic and performance data—page views, referrers, country, load time, and Core Web Vitals—under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. I use that to understand which pages are read, not to profile visitors.

This website includes Amazon Associates links to my book. If you follow those links and buy something on Amazon, I may earn a commission. Amazon may set cookies or collect data under Amazon’s Privacy Notice. I do not receive personal information about who clicked or purchased.

Form mail and confirmations are sent with Postmark. Cloudflare processes form challenges and hosts the site under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify users of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
